From Indigenous feminisms in the Americas to gender fluid communities in India, Autograph’s new exhibitions bring together artists who use the body to challenge colonial and social forces.
Join us to celebrate a season of new exhibitions at Autograph's gallery in Shoreditch. You'll see two new exhibitions in our main galleries: Charan Singh: Your Tongue in My Mouth and Our Bodies Have Been Bridges, alongside a pop-up show in the Studio, Close to the Surface: Living with Chronic Illness.
Across the exhibitions, the artists use photography to challenge colonial and social forces – asserting the right to self-definition.
Featuring work by artists Laura Aguilar, Antonia Attwood, Tarrah Krajnak, Koyoltzintli and Charan Singh.

A major new exhibition bringing together three feminist artists from across the Americas whose work centres the body. In distinct ways, each use their body to bridge personal and collective memory, indigenous knowledge and relationships to land.

A new exhibition by Antonia Attwood, examining the ways we try to understand the bodies we inhabit.
Everyone is welcome to join us for a relaxed, social evening celebrating the opening of Autograph’s new exhibitions. Both galleries will be open, with drinks and an outdoor seating area. As this is an informal, drop-in event, you are able to enjoy the evening at your own pace - you’re welcome to arrive and leave at any time.
At busier moments, there may be a short queue to enter the building or galleries.

Autograph welcomes people with all types of disabilities
Our building and entrance is step free. A wheelchair accessible lift goes to all floors
Each floor has an accessible toilet. All toilets are single-occupancy and unisex
A bar is located in the studio, with contactless payment. Non-alcoholic drinks will be available
Enjoy your drink in our studio or outdoor seating area. To protect the artworks, drinks are not allowed in the galleries
There is a free, staffed cloakroom at this event for coats and large bags
To protect the artworks from accidental damage, backpacks and bags over 12" x 12" cannot be brought into the galleries, and will need to be placed in our free cloakroom
Please note that photography and/or filming will take place at this event. Images from this event may be used by Autograph and external press for marketing and promotional use, including: printed and online publicity, social media, press releases, or other use.
