In response to concerns over the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Autograph is temporarily closing from 18 March 2020 until further notice to protect our staff, visitors, artists, collaborators and wider community.
Our staff will work remotely for the time being, and our office hours remain Monday – Friday 10am – 6pm.

Dr Mark Sealy MBE, Director
Mark was appointed Director of Autograph in 1991. He was awarded the Hood Medal for services to photography in 2007 by the Royal Photographic Society, and in January 2013 he was awarded an MBE for services to photography. He completed a PhD at Durham University, where his research focused on photography and cultural violence. He has curated several major exhibitions, and his publications include Different (Phaidon 2001) with Professor Stuart Hall.
Holly Tebbutt, Deputy Director
Holly joined Autograph in 2013. She has 30 years of experience working with visual arts organisations as former Head of Visual Arts at London Arts Council, a programme leader in higher education, as a research consultant and in senior executive roles. Alongside her role at Autograph, she is a Trustee of both London Print Studio and ACME, both of which provide production facilities for artists.
Renée Mussai, Senior Curator and Head of Archive & Research
Over the past 10 years, Renée has overseen Autograph’s artistic programmes including developing our permanent collection of photography, while organising numerous exhibitions in Europe, Africa and the US. She lectures internationally on photography, curatorial activism and cultural politics, and has been a regular guest curator and non-resident fellow at the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research at Harvard University since 2009. She is currently a Research Associate in the Visual Identities in Art and Design Research Centre, University of Johannesburg; and PhD candidate in Art History at University College London.
John Bracken, Head of Finance
John is a qualified certified accountant and has over 25 years-experience, specialising in - although not restricted to - the Not for Profit and Charity Sector. He has particular expertise in supporting arts organisations gained through his time at MacIntyre Hudson LLP and previously with Gotham Erskine Accountants.
Lois Olmstead, Marketing and Audience Development Manager
Lois has a strong interest in understanding cultural audiences needs and motivations. Specialising in marketing and audience development, Lois has previously been a Museum, Gallery and Heritage Ambassador for the Arts Marketing Association and a Trustee for The Friends of Crystal Palace Dinosaurs.
Livvy Murdoch, Learning and Participation Manager
Livvy has been working in arts education since 2014. They have a particular interest in programming around queer identity and disability justice issues. Previously, Livvy has worked closely with artists and practitioners on Camden Arts Centre’s education programme of workshops, courses and events. At Autograph, Livvy works in collaboration with Ali to manage the public programme of events and activities for a wide range of audiences, including the Rights in Focus network, the Family SEND programme and exhibition related events.
Ali Eisa, Public Programme Manager (Education)
Ali is an artist and educator, who has been working for Autograph since 2015. He coordinates the education programme, producing interactive workshops and events for diverse audience to engage with Autograph’s exhibitions and photographic archive. Ali is a visual artist who exhibits nationally and internationally, and has a background in social circus, youth arts and youth work. He studied at Goldsmiths, University of London and graduated with BA Fine Art (2010) and MA Visual Sociology (2014).
Bindi Vora, Curatorial Projects Manager
Bindi Vora is a photographic artist, Visiting Lecturer at the University of Westminster, and part of Hemera, a photographic curatorial collective. Prior to Autograph, she worked at the Hayward Gallery organizing the exhibition of South Korean artist Lee Bul and their inaugural billboard project by artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby. She has also worked at The Photographers’ Gallery curating their offisite commissions which included the international touring exhibition Work, Rest & Play: British Photography from the 1960s to Today, In Fine Feather at Selfridges London, In Your Face at Liberty London, amongst other initiatives.
Adrian Eaves, General Manager
Adrian took up the role as General Manager of Sense of Place Ltd in 2016. This subsidiary company of Autograph looks after the Rivington Place building and all the tenants in its offices located above the gallery spaces. Previously, he was a Director of two inner London charities and has a solid formal education with 2 MBAs in Educational Leadership and Business. However, Adrian has a background in Fine Arts and he continues to paint today.
Krystina Robinson, Marketing & Audience Development Assistant
Krystina has been involved in theatre and performance for five years, recently with disability arts organisations. As a MA student at Goldsmiths, she worked with Autograph on the Connecting Audiences: Design Thinking for Audience Development programme to research audience needs and interests relating to neurodiversity and accessibility.
Cherelle Sappleton, Administrator
Cherelle is a visual artist who works part-time in the Autograph office. She started out in performance-based practice but now works with photographic media using images of herself and the female body as a starting point to explore issues relating to agency and the female gaze.
