about the workshop

At this unique, hands-on slide collaging workshop, you will be provided with an archive of 35mm vintage slides and invited to construct images through cutting and reassembling. Artist and Educator Dafna Talmor will guide you through the workshop, and her own creative process encompassing photography, sculpture and spatial interventions. We will then re-project the slides and photograph them, creating alternative landscapes.

You will get to keep your collaged slides, and the digital files of the photographed landscape, so they can be manipulated further beyond the workshop. All materials will be provided and you are encouraged to bring an SD card to save your digital files - otherwise we will email these to you after the workshop.

This event is part of the Methods of Making series, exploring the expansive nature of collage through creative practice, inspired by our upcoming exhibition I Still Dream of Lost Vocabularies. This workshop presents a unique opportunity to experiment with analogue and digital creative processes, considering the way deconstructing and reassembling images can offer new perspectives on complex histories and social realities.

The ticket price for this event is £10. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If this ticket price is unaffordable for you, please get in touch with Harriet at harriet@autograph-abp.co.uk about free ticketing options.
