Young London Photographers: Common Ground launch event

POSTED: 19 November 2018

More than 200 people joined us at the opening of our student exhibition.

Last week, we launched our new student exhibition Common Ground - thank you everyone who joined us!

It's the culmination of our annual Album project, offering young people from sixth form and further education colleges the opportunity to work with artists, photographers and curators to develop their practice and create new work. Autograph teams up with University of the Arts London's Insights Programme for the project - supporting a new generation of photographers interrogating their own stories and identities.

This year's artists responded to the shifting political and cultural climate they live in, exploring important issues around sexual identity, disability and homelessness.

More than 200 people attended the exhibition launch event at our gallery in Shoreditch, where the students were awarded certificates for their participation. Thank you to Semen Sapiev for the beautiful photographs from the event.

In the Shoreditch area? The final day of Common Ground is tomorrow 20 November - be sure to stop by Autograph's gallery to see it. Everyone is welcome, admission is free.
