We are working with youth homeless charity Accumulate to host a 10-day exhibition, featuring work by young people who are living in hostels or temporary accommodation in London.
Participants will take part in free, weekly creative workshops in the months leading up to the exhibition.
Based at Autograph's gallery and visiting cultural venues throughout the city, the workshops will explore expression through photography and other media.
Tutors and mentors from the creative industries will support the participants as they develop their vision around the theme 'youth culture' - culminating in an exhibition at Autograph's gallery in Shoreditch, London.
This exhibition project is in development at Autograph. We will update this page with our research and progress.
Join our mailing list to receive news from Autograph, and an invitation to the exhibition when it is announced.
For 30 years Autograph has engaged with diverse groups and communities to explore issues of identity, representation, social justice and human rights through photography and film.
At our gallery and in the community, we create welcoming spaces for people to share experiences, make artwork and become inspired by contemporary photographers and our unique archive.
Hostels and organisations involved in the 2019 Accumulate exhibition include: Evolve, North London YMCA, Walthamstow YMCA, Freedom from Torture, Islington Centre for Refugees, Depaul Housing, Broadwater Lodge, and Ravensbourne University London.
