This short documentary film follows Dianne Minnicucci as she navigates the intersection of teaching and creative practice, redefining the role of the Artist-Teacher. Moving between Thomas Tallis School, her home and Autograph, the film captures the evolving relationships between Minnicucci, her students and colleagues as she reclaims her artistic voice while teaching.
Through interviews, behind-the-scenes moments and student-led Super8 film collaborations, the documentary highlights the transformative impact of embedding Minnicucci’s personal practice within the classroom. Expanding on the themes of the exhibition Belonging and Beyond, it explores how creativity, dialogue and representation can reshape both artistic and educational spaces.
This film features in the exhibition Belonging and Beyond which is on display and free to visit at Autograph until 13 September 2025.

Autograph is a place to see things differently. Since 1988, we have championed photography that explores issues of race, identity, representation, human rights and social justice, sharing how photographs reflect lived experiences and shape our understanding of ourselves and others.
