Taken in the mid 1970s in Accra, this beautifully-lit photograph captures the artist's keen interest in West African women’s hairstyles and formal portraiture traditions. Barnor had returned to Accra in 1969 to establish his popular X23 photography studio, where this image was taken.
This limited edition has been hand-printed in the darkroom by master printer Bayeux, London.
