"When I say these sessions have changed our lives, I am not exaggerating. They have exposed me to the best of humanity and to some of the most creative souls."
Autograph's Family SEND programme provides free, artist-led workshops for families with a child or children with complex needs or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Since launching in 2019, we've hosted 74 workshops, and reached more than 880 attendees.
The programme has grown from strength to strength: in October 2021 we doubled our capacity to meet demand, and in August 2023 we began working in collaboration with Submit To Love, a local supported studio for artists living with brain injuries, recruiting one of their artists to co-deliver the programme.
We’re grateful to all the families who attend the workshops, for their trust and enthusiasm, and to the City Bridge Foundation for their generous support of the programme.
Winners of the Fantastic for Families Awards will be announced on 28 November, so please keep your fingers crossed for us!
Since 2019, we've been delivering inclusive workshops for the whole family. Find our more about the project

Autograph is a place to see things differently. Since 1988, we have championed photography that explores issues of race, identity, representation, human rights and social justice, sharing how photographs reflect lived experiences and shape our understanding of ourselves and others.
