Witness the power of words as Jacksonville-based poets read a selection of poems composed using inspiration from Autograph's touring exhibition Zanele Muholi: Somnyama Ngonyama, Hail the Dark Lioness.
In more than 80 self-portraits, celebrated visual activist Zanele Muholi uses their body as a canvas to confront the deeply personal politics of ‘race’ and representation in the visual archive.
Each black and white portrait asks critical questions about social (in)justice, human rights, and contested representations of the Black body.
Free tickets are available on the Cummer Museum's website.

Autograph is a place to see things differently. Since 1988, we have championed photography that explores issues of race, identity, representation, human rights and social justice, sharing how photographs reflect lived experiences and shape our understanding of ourselves and others.
